We synthesized two new alternating polymers, namely P(Tt‐FQx) and P(Tt‐DFQx) , incorporating electron rich tri‐thiophene and electron deficient 6‐fluoroquinoxaline or 6,7‐difluoroquinoxaline derivatives. Both polymers P(Tt‐FQx) and P(Tt‐DFQx) exhibited high thermal stabilities and the estimated 5% weight loss temperatures are 425 and 460 °C, respectively. Polymers P(Tt‐FQx) and P(Tt‐DFQx) displayed intense absorption band between 450 and 700 nm with an optical band gap (Eg) of 1.78 and 1.80 eV, respectively. The determined highest occupied/lowest unoccupied molecular orbital's (HOMO/LUMO) of P(Tt‐DFQx) (?5.48 eV/?3.68 eV) are slightly deeper than those of P(Tt‐FQx) ( ?5.32 eV/?3.54 eV). The polymer solar cells fabricated with a device structure of ITO/PEDOT:PSS/ P(Tt‐FQx) or P(Tt‐DFQx) :PC70BM (1:1.5 wt %) + 3 vol % DIO/Al offered a maximum power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 3.65% with an open‐circuit voltage (Voc) of 0.59 V, a short‐circuit current (Jsc) of 10.65 mA/cm2 and fill factor (FF) of 59% for P(Tt‐FQx) ‐based device and a PCE of 4.36% with an Voc of 0.69 V, a Jsc of 9.92 mA/cm2, and FF of 63% for P(Tt‐DFQx) ‐based device. © 2018 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Ondansetron, a widely used antiemetic agent, is a P‐glycoprotein (P‐gp) substrate and therefore expression of P‐gp at the blood–brain barrier limits its distribution to the central nervous system (CNS), which was observed to be reversed by coadministration with P‐gp inhibitors. Tariquidar is a potent and selective third‐generation P‐gp inhibitor, and coadministration with ondansetron has shown improved ondansetron distribution to the CNS. There is currently no reported bioanalytical method for simultaneously quantifying ondansetron with a third‐generation P‐gp inhibitor. Therefore, we aimed to develop and validate a method for ondansetron and tariquidar in rat and human plasma samples. A full validation was performed for both ondansetron and tariquidar, and sample stability was tested under various storage conditions. To demonstrate its utility, the method was applied to a preclinical pharmacokinetic study following coadministration of ondansetron and tariquidar in rats. The presented method will be valuable in pharmacokinetic studies of ondansetron and tariquidar in which simultaneous determination may be required. Lithiation of van der Waals tetrel-arsenides, GeAs and SiAs, has been investigated. Electrochemical lithiation demonstrated large initial capacities of over 950 mAh g−1 accompanied by rapid fading over successive cycling in the voltage range 0.01–2 V. Limiting the voltage range to 0.5–2 V achieved more stable cycling, which was attributed to the intercalation process with lower capacities. Ex situ powder X-ray diffraction confirmed complete amorphization of the samples after lithiation, as well as recrystallization of the binary tetrel-arsenide phases after full delithiation in the voltage range 0.5–2 V. Solid-state synthetic methods produce layered phases, in which Si-As or Ge-As layers are separated by Li cations. The first layered compounds in the corresponding ternary systems were discovered, Li0.9Ge2.9As3.1 and Li3Si7As8, which crystallize in the Pbam (No. 55) and P2/m (No. 10) space groups, respectively. Semiconducting layered GeAs and SiAs accommodate the extra charge from Li cations through structural rearrangement in the Si-As or Ge-As layers and eventually by replacement of the tetrel dumbbells with sets of Li atoms. Ge and Si monoarsenides demonstrated high structural flexibility and a mild ability for reversible lithiation. 相似文献

ABSTRACTGreen Chemistry principles can be used to re-cast traditional Organic chemistry experiments into more guided-inquiry based experiments. Inquiry questions related to green chemistry principles and metrics have been incorporated into our laboratory for the development of more guided-inquiry based experiments. Re-casting traditional experiments provides time for guided-inquiry by allowing students to evaluate reaction conditions and wastefulness of reactions. This includes evaluating solvent choices, heating methods, use of renewal materials, and contemplating reactants and products impacts on human health and environment. Students examine the changes as it pertains to green chemistry, the success of the reaction and the potential impacts on the mechanism. Involving students in these discoveries rooted in a guiding question made the Organic experiments guided-inquiry. Students were surveyed about their exposure to green chemistry and guided-inquiry based labs. Examples of some of the re-casted experiments, excerpts from student reports, and student impressions of the theme are presented. 相似文献
